Accelerance, a US-based global software outsourcing authority, will help merchandise and increase the sales of Bangladeshi software services in the American, European, Australian and other English-speaking markets.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in this regard between Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) and Accelerance Inc on October 4 last at the office of the Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister, said an official on Sunday.

Deputy Project Director of Leveraging ICT for Growth, Employment and Governance (LICT) Project of BCC Tarique M Barkatullah and President of Accelerance Inc Andy Hilliard signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.

Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar, BCC Executive Director Parthapratim Deb, LICT Component Team Leader Sami Ahmed, Accelerance Vice President Hugh Morgan and Chief Delivery Officer Jim Marascio witnessed the MoU signing.

As per the MoU, Accelerance will provide support to Bangladesh’s Software Development Companies (BSDCs) in their sales and marketing efforts into the targeted markets, including American, European, Australian and other English-speaking markets.

They will also provide training to BSDCs to enable them to identify and successfully execute engagements in Target Markets and technical and readiness assessments of BSDCs by Accelerance, the MoU said.

Based on the technical and readiness assessments of BSDCs, Accelerance will give direction and assistance for developing and implementing plans.
